Vicki, Jo, Julie and Jane swim for Fi
My Story
We are all Trustees of Fi's Enrichment, Education Support (FEES) Fund in memory of Fiona Braidwood and have been inspired to sign up to this challenge by the fundraising efforts of our friends and family over the past few years to support this charity close to our hearts.
Fi grasped the opportunity to challenge herself outside her comfort zone and we are drawing on this to push us through our 1 mile Serpentine Swim. We all enjoy swimming but have been introduced to open water swimming whilst training for this challenge and have been rewarded with the physical and mental health benefits of wild swimming.
Training in a variety of locations and weather conditions (some more glamorous than others!) which have stretched as far as Brazil to Rhodes, we have supported each other through the swim float highs and green algae lows. We are nervous but also excited to be swimming a mile in the Serpentine and thank you for supporting us and Fees Fund to make a difference to young peoples lives.
